As a Career Counselor…
…have you tried to help students/alumni/clients who have no direction and feel very stuck?
…are you sometimes uncertain about what to suggest next when confronted with someone’s lack of energy or clarity?
…do you want to be more effective in helping others unlock their own abilities to grow in their lives and careers?
This is an exciting opportunity to learn an innovative model for navigating career transitions within a creative, insightful, and practical training environment!
Spend 2½ days in Seattle to gain a new tool for your professional toolbox to help your students, alumni and clients navigate the transition from school to successful professional and from one career path to the next.
Centerpoint’s approach is unique and unparalleled: it weaves many of the threads that have recently gained popularity in the career development field (e.g., chaos theory, positive uncertainty, human agency, naturalistic approaches, career constructivism).
As a nonprofit organization, our focus is service, both to our clients and to other career professionals as we work to strengthen and advance the profession. Having assisted clients and students in transitions for over 18 years, Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal has developed groundbreaking and holistic strategies. We’re passionate about sharing our wisdom and insights with you!
A Cutting-Edge Tool
The Natural Cycles of Change™ is a proven and powerful model for people in transition. It presents change in a supportive and holistic framework, ultimately allowing individuals to navigate their own process gracefully and confidently.
Based upon the work of many including Carl Jung, Daniel Levinson, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, Frederic Hudson, William Bridges, as well as Native American and Eastern traditions, this easily accessible road map has already helped guide tens of thousands of people in choosing the steps they need to take in order to find their passions and purpose in life.
This program helps you…
- assess situations with your students, alumni, clients (and even coworkers) more quickly and accurately.
- use a new way to understand change and the activities which are most, and least, helpful at various stages of transition.
- differentiate yourself from others in your field; uniquely position yourself as one who can make a profound difference.
Your clients get…
- concrete and practical next steps to get them unstuck.
- a way to normalize change and put it in a new, healthy perspective.
- increased awareness and acceptance of themselves.
- useful activities that help them work with change instead of against it.
- reduced anxiety…for them and for you!
Enrollment is open to career counselors in a variety of settings: higher education, private practice, government, one-stop centers, schools, etc.
